Tanzania is a beautiful country with rich produce, and Tanzanian people are friendly, hospitable, honest and optimistic. For years, Tanzania keeps long-term stability with new progress achieved one after another in economic and social development. Tanzania has become a country of great influence in eastern and southern Africa.

Forged by the old leaders of last generation of the two countries, China-Tanzania friendship has become even closer as time goes by. The Tanzania-Zambia Railway (TAZARA) is an everlasting monument in the history of China-Africa relations. In 2013, when Chinese President Xi Jinping made his maiden overseas visit after assuming the presidency, he came to Tanzania and proposed here for the first time the principle of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith as well as the principle of pursuing the greater good and shared interests. The pragmatic cooperation between China and Tanzania has yielded rich results. China has been Tanzania’s largest trading partner and biggest source of foreign investment for several years consecutively. The Chinese Embassy in Tanzania will continue to make unremitting efforts to promote China-Tanzania friendship and raise the comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries to a new level.
