On April 2, the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania held memorial ceremony at the Chinese Experts Cemetery for those who sacrificed their lives for the TAZARA Railway and other China-Tanzania cooperation projects. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Wang Yong of the Embassy and Tanzanian Deputy Minister for Transport David Kihenzile attended the event, together with over 100 people, including all staff members of the Embassy, representatives from Tanzanian government and all walks of life, and Chinese communities in Tanzania.
