On August 11, 2022, the Tanzania-China Friendship Promotion Association (TCFPA) released a statement on its official website, saying that the TCFPA upholds and remains resolutely committed to the one-China principle and its position is in conformity with the positions held by the United Nations, the African Union, and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The statement further says that the TCFPA remains resolutely committed to encouraging people-to-people exchanges to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Tanzanian citizens and their Chinese counterparts.
