Tanzanian President sent condolence message to President Xi Jinping on the earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China

On April 20, 2013, Following an unprecedented earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China, H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, sent condolence message to H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.

In the message, on behalf of the Government and the People of the United Republic of Tanzania, and on his own behalf, President Kikwete conveyed the heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of the People’s Republic of China following this unfortunate natural disaster. President Kikwete said, he had every confidence that the Government and the People of China will respond to this tragedy with their characteristic resolve and resilience and will succeed in restoring normalcy quickly.
