CNPC Tanzania Natural Gas Processing Plants and Transportation Pipeline Project Branch Conducted Donations to Local Village Primary Schools

     On October 9th and 10th, CNPC Tanzania Natural Gas Processing Plants and Transportation Pipeline Project Branch conducted two donations to the village primary schools of Madimba and Msijute of Mtwara – a southern city of Tanzania.
     Nearly 2000 people attended the donation ceremony, including Chinese Company representatives, representatives of TPDC and PMC (Worley Parsons S.A.), local officials, village chairman, schoolmasters, and more than one thousand students, teachers and local residents. The donation includes 104 suits of football clothing, 16 footballs, 70 boxes of exercise books, 24boxes of pencils, 15 boxes of ball pens, 28 boxes of chalks, teaching and library books.
 


   


   



     At the ceremony, Mr. Lu Jiangbo, the standing deputy manager of CNPC Tanzania Natural Gas Processing Plants and Transportation Pipeline Project branch delivered a speech, in which he reviewed the traditional friendship between China and Tanzania, introduced the significance of Tanzania Mnazi Bay and Songo Songo Natural Gas Processing Plants and Transportation Pipeline Project, expressed  best wishes to the children for their healthy grow-up and good study, and hoped the students could make future contributions to the development of Tanzania and the friendship between China and Tanzania.The Chinese company promised to build a library and sports ground for Maijute primary school and provide 6000 liters of drinking water per day for local residents at Madimba after the project is completed. The local officials, teachers, students and residents expressed their understanding and support to the project, their gratitude to Chinese companies and sincere hopes for the continuous development of the friendship between the two countries.

 

   

 

   

 

    During the donation, the project staff distributed food, drinks and gifts to local people and had a friendship football match with the students wearing the new football clothes, wining applauses from all the people at presence. The students conveyed their thanks to the project staff by their self-made banners and joyful songs and dances.


     
         


   

        

                        

    The Chinese Companies promised to make continued efforts to undertake social responsibilities while implementing the construction project, increasing local employment and conducting beneficial activities to the local communities.
