President Magufuli Congratulated President Xi Jinping and Chinese People on the 70th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China

On September 27th, Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, President of the United Republic of Tanzania sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China. On behalf of the Government and People of the United Republic of Tanzania and in his own name, President Magufuli congratulated President Xi Jinping, the Government and the fraternal people of China on the 70th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China on 1 st October, 2019.

President Magufuli wrote that over the past 70 years, China has recorded tremendous achievements in almost all spheres, which do not only benefit China, but also the entire world. Thanks to the moral and material supports provided by China in the African liberation movements last century, the continent is now free from the yoke of colonialism. Today, China is an important partner for Africa. President Magufuli emphasized that the Government of the Tanzania attaches great importance to its bilateral relationship with China, and is grateful to the Government of China for the support it has provided to Tanzania in various fields. President Magufuli pledged his commitment to working closely with President Xi Jinping to further strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and their peoples.

On October 1st, President Magufuli twitted on his personal twitter and sent his congratulations to President Xi Jinping and the people of China in Chinese and pledged to further enhance the historic, friendly and fraternal ties of the two countries.
