How to Apply for a Chinese Visa? (Please read before application TO VISA APPLICANTS )
1. Complete and submit China Online Visa Application form through http://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn and schedule appointment online for visa application
through https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn, and prepare necessary supporting documents.
2. Submit your application and leave all ten fingerprints at the Embassy in person.
3.You or your agent could pick up your passport with visa on the date printed on your Pick-up slip, unless otherwise notified by the Visa Office. Mail-back service is NOT provided.

Note: a single rate of 140 US dollar for US citizens, 228 US dollar for US journalists, 144,000 shilling for Canada citizens, free of charge for Pakistan citizens.
The above are regular service (collection on the 4th workday from application) charge. For express service (collection on the 2nd workday from application), an additional 50,000 TSH is applied.No express service to US citizens.
Reminders:
1. 8:30a.m. to 11:30a.m, Monday to Friday for application, 2:30pm to 4:30pm Monday to Friday for collection, except for public holidays.
2. Please keep your pick-up form safe and sound. Anyone can collect your passport and visa with the pick-up form. In case the form is lost, please collect your passport and visa in person with loss report from police.
3. Tanzanian diplomatic and service passport holders could visit China without visa. However, for Tanzanian diplomatic and service passport holders who go to China for work, study, family reunion and settlement or as a resident journalist (namely candidates for Z, X1, Q1, S1, D and J1 visa), a valid visa is required.
4. No visa is required for Tanzanian citizens who visit and stay in Hong Kong for no more than 90 days, excepting those who go for employment, study, training, performance and exhibition.
