Reminder to the Chinese Visa Applicants

According to the Announcement on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits issued on March 26, 2020 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and National Immigration Administration, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Tanzania has been temporarily suspending regular visa services. Currently, only diplomats(including their accompanying spouse and children under the age of 18) who are assigned to the Embassies and Consulates in China, foreign nationals with humanitarian emergencies and those whose application are specially approved by the Chinese government may apply for Chinese visas. The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Tanzania remains unable to resume the visa services to the other foreign nationals at this time.

Please be noted that as from 4th September, 2020, all foreign passengers belonging to the above-mentioned categories travelling from or transiting through Tanzania to China are required to obtain COVID-19 negative certificates 72 hours prior to flight departures.
